Resources and tips for safety, language and more:

SAFETY/ INFO

U.S. EMBASSY
Before any international trip be sure to visit the page for your destination to view the latest information on visas, vaccinations, passports and travel registration. You also want to write down the location and number of the U.S. Embassy wherever you end up; if you run into any trouble this is your greatest resource!

LANGUAGE

LIVEMOCHA
Create a free account to access live classes, partner practice, private tutoring and more. This internet-based site is the perfect portal for learning a new, or brushing up on an additional language before your trip or while on the road. This program uses a 'points' system to access classes for free. By helping others to learn your native language you earn points to put towards your own classes. The element of reciprocity enables it to remain a low-cost site, although there are inexpensive upgrades available.

MEETUP
Find or start a Meetup group in your home town or abroad and meet with locals to practice or swap languages, a great (and free) way to meet new people!
